India’s industrial corridor development program, led by the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation under the Government of India, is a large-scale infrastructure initiative aimed at transforming the country into a global manufacturing and logistics hub with an estimated investment of $20–30 billion. The program focuses on developing integrated industrial corridors across northern and eastern regions of India, where world-class industrial smart cities, manufacturing zones, and logistics hubs are being built along major freight routes. These corridors are strategically aligned with dedicated freight corridors such as the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor and the Amritsar–Kolkata Industrial Corridor, enabling seamless movement of goods and reducing transportation costs. The development model includes plug-and-play infrastructure, where industries get ready-to-use facilities with power, water, roads, and digital connectivity, significantly reducing setup time for manufacturers. Advanced technologies like smart industrial zoning, GIS-based planning, IoT-enabled utilities, and data-driven logistics optimization are integrated into these corridors to improve operational efficiency and sustainability
